How can you, as a woman, meet up to the expectations,
fulfill your commitments and yet remain fresh and
energetic at the end of the day? The answer is right
there in front of you. You will be able to give of your
best only when you feel good about yourself ...– you
cannot be expected to produce great results at work or
home if you constantly demean yourself and underestimate
your capabilities. So what are the basic steps that
would make you focused, poised and help you produce
great results? Here are a few strategies that might make
a difference. |
Make time for yourself. It could be as little as just 5
minutes a day, but believe me, those 5 minutes that you
spend purely on yourself will make a wealth of
difference to your performance. Spend some time focusing
on your breathing. Take deep breaths all the while
concentrating on the path of the breath, and that is
equivalent to meditation. You will find yourself quite
relaxed and rejuvenated.
Plan your week. Write down your priorities for the whole
week and simply follow what you’ve written in that
order. Complete each task on a priority basis and you
will find that your path through the whole week is
smooth and organized.
Make decisions on the basis of what you
value in life. This is especially good when the choices
you have to make are particularly tough, and will help
you to take the right decisions. So first evaluate and
then decide on what is important to you and act
accordingly. When you look back later, you will feel
good about your decision.
Build up a team round you of people who
trust you, believe in you and know what you are capable
of. They will inspire you to achieve.
Look after your health. Do not forget that your body is
a temple. Eat nourishing foods that will make you glow
with good health. Top on the priority list should be
fresh vegetables and fruits.
Do not feel guilty if you have an
occasional chocolate or ice cream. Accept your need, be
fine with it and most of all, enjoy it!
Appreciate your role and acknowledge your contribution.
If you don’t appreciate what you have accomplished, no
one else will! Have you made a difference to other
peoples’ lives? Be aware of what you have done to better
someone else’s life. Begin by being your own fan. You
deserve it! Are you having enough fun in your
life? Do things that make you happy, make you laugh and
make you excited. It may be something totally crazy, but
if it makes you happy, go for it! Share your happy
moments, the fun and the magic with the people you love.
Choose to live life with poise and confidence, clear
your life of all clutter and all the while never forget
to take care of the person that is you!
